Just Because

For all you whiners and homos out there who keep calling Crosby a crybaby despite all evidence to the contrary, I offer you this comparison:

Crosby getting in a fight:

Ovechkin getting in a fight:

Oh wait, he's too much of a pussy to fight. But don't let that make your inferiority complexes change. I love your whining.

WOOOOOOOOOOO

Also, if you think fights are a bad thing, watch cricket. This instigator rule is bad, bad news. Need proof? Look at Colton Orr's blatant run at Mark Eaton yesterday. He knows if anyone retaliated, the instigator rule would give the Rangers a power play. What a stupid ruling...

Are you kidding me with that post??? I'm sure the pictures came from pensblog. It is run by a bunch of low class d-bags who get their fix on belittling other teams (and in some cases star players..)

Im sure a Pittsburgh fan isn't capable of watching the highlights of a Caps game on a computer. Granted, owning one and operating one are far out of their intelligence levels.
If a Pens fan did fancy upon a caps game recap, they would see two recurring themes: 1. Ove oblitering opposing players with the puck, and 2. opposing goalies sobbing as Ove scores one of his league leading goals.
Oh and as of today, Ovechkin is 8th on the hits list with 233. Crysby(his proper name) has 74 hits. That is almost 4X as many hits.

FYI, Crysby is averaging 22:12 minutes of ice time a game, Ove is averaging 22:59.

As a somewhat neutral observer, I will say it is slightly smarter of Ovechkin to stay out of the fights and let his enforcers do the talking - though I do like seeing the heart from Crosby, I'm afraid he could end up hurting himself.

The instigator rule is stupid, so all that will happen is refs will ignore it.

Got to go to the Buffalo game last Wednesday, and saw the perfect example of when to fight - Buffalo scored an empty netter to put the game away, and a Florida player hit the shooter in the face during the celebration. Needless to say, and awesomely considering how loud the building was, the entire Sabres team jumped the asshole. Totally acceptable.

Haha, baiting Caps "fans" is just way too easy. And if it stops being fun I'll stop doing it.

As for classless, I won't take lectures from a fanbase that focuses on belittling one player as the Caps/Flyers do with Crosby. For proof, check out the fans at the last Caps vs. Pens game, or any Flyers game. Also, a "Crosby Sucks" song has surfaced, it even got press in the Washington Post's sports section. It's honestly very pathetic.

I don't think Ovechkin sucks. I actually think he's a great scorer. I disagree with his methods, including his on and off ice douchebaggery, as well as his cherry picking and lack of defensive effort. However, I would never insinuate he's "overrated" or "sucks". I'd say he's a modern day incarnation of Jagr; not Lemiuex or Gretzky good, but no one is.

Beyond baiting Brendan because the comments section is looking a little dry, I generally only bring up other team's players when I talk about awards or specifically their team's chances. If I were a Caps "fan", I'd probably go out of my way to whine about what Crosby just did. I don't dislike the Caps. Their more recent and vocal fans just represent a degenerate base of the lowest common denominator which I think has the potential to turn hockey fans into worse slack-jawed idiots than fans of the NFL.

Point is, you'll get fairweather idiot fans no matter which team you like. But when they focus more on hating other players than cheering on their own, that's where I see a problem. I ripped on the person who bought the "Hosebag" Red Wings jersey, and if you actually make a poster or shirt that says another player sucks, please stop watching hockey.

Two more teams clinch last night: Vancouver and Calgary.

And if you want to check out a great goal, watch Johan Franzen's mid-air golfing of the puck into the net. Even better was after his ridiculous goal, he had an all-business look on his face. Acting like you've been there before makes it so much more badass.

Malkin was OWNED by Ballard. Its a good thing he got up though. We wouldnt want the leagues points leaders to be injured for playoff time, or would we...
